The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR), funds Workforce Australia Local Jobs and supports the Local Jobs Coordinator and Support Officer closely in their support of local initiatives within the region.


Local Leadership and Coordination

Skillset leads coordination and delivery of program components in the Central West.

Skillset hosts and implements the Workforce Australia Local Jobs Program.

Skillset and DEWR appoints a Job Coordinator and Support Officer to operate within the Central West region. Facilitating connections between businesses, job seekers, training providers, and support services.

Job Coordinators

Job Coordinators and Support Officers support the delivery of the program by bringing together key stakeholders including businesses, employment services providers, higher education and training organisations.

Local Jobs and Skills Taskforce

Each Employment Region has its own Taskforce. Representatives include local stakeholders who have demonstrated experience in upskilling, reskilling, and an ability to represent, connect and collaborate with others in the region to meet labour market needs.
