Retail, Cleaning and Hospitality Pre-employment Program

Workforce Australia, in partnership with VERTO and Local Jobs Central West, recently supported a Hospitality Pre-Employment Program in Orange aimed at equipping local jobseekers with essential industry skills. The program began with an information session on 22 July 2025 and ran face-to-face from 28 July to 5 August. Participants gained hands-on training in customer service, workplace safety, and responsible service of alcohol and gambling. Graduates received a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment, with the program partially subsidised by the NSW Government through the ACE Community Service Obligation. Workforce Australia is proud to back initiatives that build pathways to employment in the Central West. 10 participants completed the program.
Bathurst - 18 - 26 August
Local Jobs Central West, proudly supported a pre-employment program designed and delivered by Verto to help jobseekers in Bathurst gain the skills and certifications needed to enter the retail, cleaning, and hospitality industries. The program began with an information session held on Monday 11 August 2025, from 11:00am to 12:00pm at VERTO Bathurst, 227 Howick Street. Local Jobs attended the session, which was well received by participants. A total of 15 people commenced the course, which ran face-to-face from 18 to 26 August, followed by three days of work placement. 15 Participants commenced the program. The program was partially subsidised by the NSW Government through the ACE Community Service Obligation and offered a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment upon completion. 13 participans comepleted the program.
